Hilton Head - beach walk

We headed over to the beach the other day so the girls could look for shells. While they skipped along, pausing only to add to their collection and marvel over some new treasure, I noticed the patterns the retreating water had left in the sand. Enjoy!

  1. Beautiful photos! So wishing I were there to walk along that sunny beach with you... It's gray and cold in VA with rain expected for the next 2 days...ugh...when will it be spring?

    1. Being here together would be fun! Perhaps we should try to get Pam too...maybe next year? The rain is just moving in here as well. It's cloudy and windy...and humid.

  2. Your peaceful patterns & sparkly water made my day (cold, gray & drizzly in Florence at the moment) - glad you made the most of the gorgeous 'vacation' weather!

    1. It's nice to know my photos could lend a bit of light and warmth to your day. The weather today sounds much the same as yours. No complaints for we've had 4 gloriously warm and sunny days. Of course, any day without snow is a god day!

  3. The zig zag horizontals that you have documented will serve you well in the studio. Beautiful nature. Can't beat it as a muse, can we?

    1. Thank you Seth. The weather was wonderful most of the week. It was certainly a nice change from our CT weather....no snow down here!

  5. Hi J - I just love the artistry of the ocean receding across the sand and leaving so many marks. Hope the girls also collected their memories in shells. B

    1. I love getting out early enough to get this type of photo. I've other shots where the water made tree shapes as the tide receded...lovely elongated, misshapen trees. The girls found a bag's worth of shells and are eager to take them for show 'n tell next week. Enjoy!
