My search for green started
during our monsoon season.
It led me to see the beauty at the heart of bok choy
and to be fascinated by the sunlight
shining through translucent tiles.
London's colorful office building caught my eye
as did the simple architecture with moss growing.
Back home, this little guy won my attention at the toy store.
We've played a lot Sorry lately...the girls have been trouncing me,
I'm sorry to admit.
Last Saturday's jaunt to NYC had me searching for green
and finding it on buildings,
at Purl Soho
and ended over desert with Deb.
Have you got green?
Hello, Jennifer! I got some green that'll take your breath away :)

Ersi, you are so right! Your green took my breath away, caused me to laugh out loud and exclaim over the beauty of it. What a magnificent example of green. Please thank your friend for allowing her green to be photographed. And the model, of course, should get an extra treat.
DeleteCare to join us next month for blue?
hi there--1 am! what r u doing up that early! working with my husband's mini laptop which is so
ReplyDeleteslow and giving me a few fits.
Love your variety of green.
So great that you got to see Deb.
I have all Maine green this month...seemed appropriate.
I must admit that I in bed sleeping at 1 am. Not knowing what our wifi connection in Boston would be like, I sheduled the post before we left...just in case.
DeleteGlad you like my green. I love your Maine greens, especially the apples! Also really like your fabric.
It was fun to see Deb...especially so since it was all unplanned. Hadn't seen her since when Pam and I were in town last year...when we saw you too now that I think about it. Need to work on that.
How luscious those first shots are... and I love all of the variety you found during your search for green. Such fun too, with the tiles, the Sorry pieces, the 'monster', the yarn...
ReplyDeleteI just posted my green:

Happy August -
Lisa
Lisa, your photos leave me feeling good. You have such a great eye. While water is always a favorite, the patinas have me salivating. They're rich and warm and have a story or two to tell. Can't wait to see your blues next month!
DeleteHi J - what a great range of gorgeous greens...I love the leaf, the bok choy, the thread. Oh and the empty bottles for all the fun they convey has been had.
ReplyDeleteHey Fiona! Just returned from Boston to have a green envelope waiting in the mailbox. Did you plan that? THANK YOU!!!
DeleteOf all my greens in the post, the bok choy and wine bottles were my favorites. My shot didn't do the light shining through the bottles justice...although Deb and I did have fun...not emptying a bottle though.
Hey Jennifer...NYC...Boston... you are getting around. I'm now in Savannah via Boston and Atlanta. Have escorted my parents to and from Maine. I'll be on my way back to Virginia tomorrow...what a whirlwind!
ReplyDeleteYikes! Your travels make my head spin. Safe travel back to VA.
Deletethanks girl! I remember those swan boats. My grandmother used to take me on them when I visited her. Also know and love the science museum where Mark took me on one of our first dates. He tried to impress me with his scientific knowledge which backfired...but in the cutest way!
DeleteWe rode in the swan boats and saw the island in the middle. All the while, I was thinking of Make Way for Ducklings. We visited the aquarium and childen's museum, but not the science museum. I've already told Pam that an art trip is definitely needed too.
DeleteJ- ok I get it - green I mean. But the first photo made it all worthwhile - perfect. B
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am a rather proud of that first photo. Took a bunch of the day lily leaves...fronds?...with rain drops so neatly settled back in April. This was one of my favorites.
