Thought I'd give you a peek at how the cairn is doing so far.
After just one week, rust is beginning to germinate on the cotton, in part thanks to the rain the other night. It's also becoming apparent that some places may not rust due to how the cairn is stacked. But then again, maybe the rust will spead if left alone long enough.
The good news is that 10 more yards of white cotton are patiently waiting to be wrapped and tied around rusted objects. And, so far, my daughters haven't bothered the cairn. Being on vacation for a week may have had a bit to do with that. You think?
