It was as fun to watch viewers' reactions to his work, especially the few kids in attendance, as it was to view the pieces themselves. Each is a masterpiece in beadwork and artistry. Being a person who loves white space, minimalism, pieces that make me breathe deep soulful breaths, I was soon overwhelmed with trying to see the whole and so decided to concentrate on details - the beadwork, the funkiness and the footwear. Enjoy.

Wow. That display is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm marking it to come back later and have another look!
ReplyDeleteYou're most welcome Kris!
DeleteYou are so generous to share your gallery experiences with us who cannot attend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I loved viewing these photos and appreciate how you curated them. That black beaded piece - I wouldn't have noticed without your attention to detail. Many thanks again. xox
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome Judy! Thank you for your wonderful words and for being part of my world.
DeleteNice seeing this alltogether. Was wanting more from your instagram shots. Amazing, amazing. xox
ReplyDeleteSorry for the teasers on Instagram Corrine. The exhibit is just too good not to share.
DeleteWhat amazing colours and combinations! Did your eyes pop?
ReplyDeleteDid my eyes pop? Yes. And then they took a bit to decide where to look. It was definitely overload. The back wall of his Collective Dreaming work is my favorite. I could have looked at it all day and thought it deserved its own room. At a distance, you see a black wall that shimmers in places. Close up, you see the variations of black on black stitching breaking the pattern of predominantly black beads and sequins. Amazing.
DeleteHi J - very interesting but also very strange. B
ReplyDeleteYes. There were videos of his performances wearing soundsuits and those were fascinating. Still a bit strange, but fascinating.
