Since returning from Pam's and my 6th annual artist retreat, time in the studio has been hit and miss. It will become even more so over the next few weeks as the school year ends and my little urchins are home until summer camps begin.
My plan for the summer is to rise early and get in the studio for whatever period of time the day brings before the girls wake. This means quiet, focused work. Don't want to wake the urchins too early!
Over the weekend, I cropped the craft paper that had been printed at Pam's
and began sewing the sections together. What's happening in your studio?
Nice post...it is hard to find time for ART, sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI am currently organizing and cleaning my studio.
I hope to be painting later this week!
Keep Creating = )
Thank you Sue! My studio needs to organizing and cleaning too...and soon. Can barely walk around the work table. Probably shouldn't admit that...
DeleteI'm in the same boat...but just cannot get myself up at 5 anymore!
ReplyDeleteI'm an early riser...always have been. Still, it's nice to simply sit and read a book or blog surf in the morning instead of getting to work. Enjoy your summer!
DeleteHi there- Studio needs a good cleaning (as does the rest of the house!). Presently, trying to get those promised printed scarves done...do you want one? Have a number of artistic things planned for the summer...hope I get to them! :) Roy is on Thursday...
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel like ships passing in the night with my art - I think about it, I plan for it, and then days go by with no chance to do anything; then I do get over there and have to tidy up before I can begin anything! Still; fits and starts are better than nothing and I'm grateful to be able to spend the time I do. Hope you find many moments!
ReplyDeleteHi J - amazing pieces to develop and go on with - great outcome from your time with Pam - precious. B
ReplyDeletePretty much nothing has been going on in my studio, but I love what's going on in yours!
