6th Annual Artist Retreat - Sunday

If you heard a very loud and joyful woooooohooooooooooooooo!!! run through your dreams in the early hours of Sunday morning, that was probably me. You have my most sincere apologies for any disturbance my exuberance may have caused. You see, my alarm going off at 3:30 Sunday morning marked the beginning of the 6th Annual Artist Retreat at Pam's house.

Once upon a time we both lived in Virginia. These days, she lives in Dorothy's and Toto's version of Oz while I live in Connecticut.

My husband and the little urchins were kind enough to drive me to the airport in NYC.

That's Manhattan in the upper right

and Central Park in the lower middle.

Once above the clouds, I marveled at the vivid skies and

passed the time from NYC to Dallas stitching on a linen/silk blend scarf.

Cloud formations fascinate me and I take endless photos of them when flying.

Descending through rain clouds, however, is not my favorite activity, but the views it afforded were memorable. Many areas in and around Dallas are flooded from an overabundance of rain after years of drought.

Soon enough the flight continued on to Kansas where the real fun began.
