Congratulations on being juried into the show, Jennifer! The Stargazer's Diary looks scrumptious, with those soft shades of gray and rust... mmmmmmmm....
Congratulations on your lovely book being chosen for the exhibition, Jennifer! I have just been enjoying a look through your recent Art Math too, and must say that everything appears beautifully tactile - even via cyberspace. It's so interesting to see how the pieces begin, and then the more intimate, very rich pieces they become. Re the naming of pieces...it can be a challenge, but can likewise add so much - "The Stargazer's Diary" definitely intrigues!
Thank you Lisa! Not sure what my high school math teachers would say about my version of art math, but it seems to working out well. Cutting this set down was definitely the right thing to do. Enjoy!
Wow - back to your rust - congrats on being part of this juried program - you deserve such a place - these are gorgeous!! Yet again!!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Wyn! Glad you like the new pages. Enjoy!
DeleteLovely and congratulations! I love that name, and the diary is crying out to have it's pages turned. Now, if only we could make it for the opening...
ReplyDeleteThank you Fiona! Isn't naming pieces one of the most difficult things? These are 3 of the 15 that were a result of cutting the larger pieces down.
DeleteOh! To have you and Barry here for the opening! That would be such a treat. When are you moving closer? Ha! Enjoy!
Wonderful, love the contrasts of stitch and painterly rust!
ReplyDelete"painterly rust"
DeleteI never thought of my rusty marks as being painterly, but love the sound of it. Thank you Valerianna!
