Stitching Summit 2014 - part 1

I have the extremely good fortune to have been invited to spend a few days with Christine, Kelly, Lotta and Erin. It's a dream weekend really. I keep feeling the need to pinch myself.

We've rented a house full of character, color, texture, antiques, charm galore inside and out. And rusty bits. Can't forget the rusty bits.

We brought thread, fabric, indigo, dye stuff and pots and paper as well as ideas of all sorts, shapes and sizes. Enjoy the photos. It's stitching time!

  4. Looks like fun! I'm wishing a group of like-minded artists lived close-by so we could take off for an art weekend too. Love your header!

    1. Got a chuckle from your comment - especially concerning the "living close-by" part. The 5 of us live in Ohio, Illinois, Virginia, New Jersey and Connecticut. 3 drove, 2 flew. We tried to find a spot that was somewhat central to all. Perhaps that could work for you?

Glad you like the header! I do too. Enjoy!

    1. Oh!!! I'm sure we could find a week...or two when the house is available if you and Susan care to wander over this way. Or perhaps another house. Of course, we'll need to add Pam to the mix. Dreaming with you. Enjoy!

    1. It was delightful Jill. I knew Christine and Kelly, but had yet to meet Lotta and Erin - although I'm a fan of their art. It was amazing how comfortable we all were together. Like old friends meeting again after a time apart. Just wonderful. Enjoy!

  7. How lucky is that ... friends and a cottage and time to make art! How I wish I could muster a group and an opportunity like that ...
Oh and do tell me the full name of that enticing book on Making Art that I see peeking out from several of the photos ...
