Silesia cotton? Need to search for that when I'm in the mood to discharge again. Then again, it might be nice to have some handy.
I hope you've survived the storms over there without losing power. The photos of the coastal areas are amazing in the force and destruction the waves and wind brought.
Hi Barry. Mother Nature has been having all kinds of fun with us. Snow and cold one day, rain and warm the next. Strong winds in between. You and Fiona returned home at the right time. Enjoy!
Couldn't resist that last shot Fiona. Seemed my shoes added a bit of symmetry to the shot. 'Tis almost the season to wrap these lovely bits again. I'm thinking in the spring...but patience is not one of my better qualities...
It's been a while since those particular rusty bits were used to rust cotton, but you've likely seen some of their prints from time to time - only maybe in smaller pieces. They print lovely big circles when they have a proper coat of rust. Perhaps come spring...
Wow - Happy New Year Jennifer - here's to 2014 and whatever you make of it - I am sure will be inspiring!! Love these pieces - especially the rust against the snowy ice!! Cheers!!
Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteI like a rust/tan discharge but this material gives a dirty white. It is Silesia cotton. No snow only lots of rain in the UK. Thanks for your comment

Thanks for the tip about the cotton. Enjoy!
Hi J - love the creativity of you and mother nature - rust and pure snow what a beautiful contrast. B

DeleteCan't wait to see the prints those lovely rusty shapes make. In the snow, they are wonderful.
