Gathering Light
Happy dance! Happy dance happening in the studio! Pam just sent the invitation for her solo exhibition which opens next Thursday at the Kansas Union Gallery of the University of Kansas.
I'm so excited for her!!! (you can't tell, can you?) Having been there when Pam is midst the creative process during our annual artist retreats, I can tell you that this is a show worth seeing. So, if you're in the Lawrence, Kansas area January 23 - February 10, go! Go see how Pam gathers light and what she does with it.

I wish I lived closer. Ask Pam if she'll do a video and post it on youtube, then we can all see it!
ReplyDeleteI'll be happy to ask Christine. Her camera does have video mode...
DeleteA solo show, she must be brimming with joy! Always good to hear about an artist successes.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is Jill. Probably be brimming a bit more once the show is hung. Oh! To be there to see it...
DeleteWish I could be there to gather the light ……. I imagine the exhibition will be sublime from the snippets I have seen of Pam's work.
ReplyDeleteIt will be Susan. I've seen the materials being made and seen some of the completed pieces in person and a lot of them via skype - all in her studio though. There's something quite magical about seeing them hung in a gallery. I'm still trying to figure out a time to fly out for a few days to see it all myself. Just can't miss it.
DeleteOh boy if only we could click our red shoes tougher and say take me to Kansas! It looks dreamy and divine - will hopefully see more images as it goes along.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be lovely if it were just that simple? Put on those ruby slippers, click our heels together and be standing midst Pam's art? Oh! I so want to see this, but the timing might not allow it. Got a birthday party to plan for the little urchins...
