Ha! Should I admit to the words that I sputtered upon initially seeing the snow...before it looked like white stitches on black fabric to me? Let's just say that some of my ancestors must have been sailors. Yes. Snow this early is not good.
Loved them. They are multiple hand stitches on dark black fabric, dashes of stories here and there. How amazing that you caught them. They also give me a feel for that quiet time before dawn..special and magic.
PS the sun is up at 4.48am here at the moment and sky is light from 4am…the east coast of the US will be a shift for us!
Oh...a sunrise that early would be welcome. With our time change of one hour back at the beginning of the month, it doesn't start getting light until 6 am-ish. And starts getting dark around 4 pm-ish. Needless to say, this is not my most favorite time of the year. Bring flashlights to light your way if you plan on being out at night. Ha!
snow falling on darkness .... seriously cool photographs. Can't believe you have snow already and as Fiona said, our days lighten at 4ish and summer is well on its way. xxx
That's exactly what I thought as I watched the snowflakes falling. Did you get snow last week too? I'd imagine your neck of the woods would have snow well before we do, but then again, all it takes is for the right cloud to pass over... Enjoy!
The simple things in life can bring the best happiness .........<3

If I could send a bit of snow your way, I would. Was surprised that the camera actually caught the snow midst its fall.
DeleteSnowfall makes me go all soppy. Even if it's only through someone else's lens...

:-) right back at ya. I'll try to keep that in mind and get more shots of snow...as no doubt, there will be more. I saw stitching in white on black...
DeleteJ - beautiful images of the magic moment of falling snow - well caught - thanks; and the joy on the faces of the urchins - priceless. B
ReplyDeleteThank you Barry! I'm still surprised my little Canon G11 caught the snow falling. It can be finicky and loose focus...kinda like me...
DeleteI couldn't quite work out what was happening till I saw the little girl at the end. How amazing your camera caught it!
Delete... But snow already in mid November ... Speaking from the moderate and mild UK, I don't think that's good.

ReplyDeleteThankfully the snow had melted by that afternoon. Far too early in the season for me! I'll take your summer sunlight hours anytime. Enjoy!
