Searching for Roy G Biv II - Green update 1

What better place to search for green than in Washington, DC in the spring? In case you've yet to visit DC, be sure to wander the neighborhoods around the DuPont Circle area. There are all sorts of little jewels just waiting to be discovered. Enjoy!

.....

I know...where's the green, right? Well, the woman in this photo just happens to be my Roy G Biv inspiration/partner Julie looking the ethereal weavings of Katie Glusica at the Smithsonian Craft Show. Now, if only I'd thought to get someone to take a photo Julie, Pam and I together... Next time.

Julie has a variety of greens, including a delightfully feathery find.
Fiona has Picasso greens.
Kim has woodland greens.
Maya has cool summery greens.

Do you have green? If so, just let me know and I'll link to your site.

Lisa at Arzigogolare posted the most intriguing green last night with promises for more.
Charlton is sharing the greens from her garden.

  3. Well...a big surprise for me at the end (or is my end surprisingly big?!). Yes, it would have been great to have a photo of all three of us during our secret rendezvous...where were our brains (no, don't answer that one!)?

  4. Maybe I should say that I'm green with envy? Your Roy G Biv shots are always so surprising and refreshing, Jennifer! I think the bookmark is my favourite, but mainly because I love books. And it's good to see Julie's back too :)

    1. The bookmark was a surprise in the Phillips Collection's gift shop. Can't remember what the book was about, but that's how it was made...with bookmarks included.

As for Julie's back...next time I promise to get a photo of her face to share. Ha! We were having so much fun that it just didn't occur to me to get a photo until it was too late.

  5. Spring in DC looks like a nice place to be! I think my absolute favorite is the (sign?) post - very architectural. The book with ribbons also appeals to me...funny how the book as a subject can inspire such a feeling of delight in just about any context (I think because it teases the imagination).
P.S. I posted a little 'green' last night and have plans for more - green seems to be the color of the moment for those of us experiencing spring!

    1. The sign post shot is my favorite too. Took several before getting the right angle. I'm wishing the photo of the gorgeous garden had turned out well. That garden was a little slice of paradise midst other row houses and hotels. I could have happily found a comfortable spot and sat there all day with a good book to read.
