Rusty apron part 2

Still sewing on my rusty apron.

Adding back the length that was taken off just yesterday.

Looking for places that already need mending.

It is a bit of a calamity all on its own.
Well not exactly a calamity...but certainly a comedy of errors.
More on that soon.

    1. So true India. It must be admitted that the apron is much more interesting because of my mistakes and re-working of them.

I've been thinking of your lovely jumper that you wore in Cleveland last October during the workshop and gift you gave Christine. How do you do it...with all that hand stitching and without going mad in the process?

Most likely it helps that you know what you are doing while I do not. Big sigh. I need more practice at this.

  2. Calamity is a very good word... I enjoyed that word that doesn't seem to get much use these days. Hope things "iron" out with your apron!!

    1. The apron has moved beyond the calamity stage...and possibly past the comedy of errors stage as well. Today I decided to embrace all the mistakes and have fun with it. Just need to sew the pockets on and iron out all the wrinkles...or maybe they'll come out in the wash.

  3. I too loved the word Calamity - I always think of Calamity Jane! Glad that things have moved on, but don't you get frustrated in the middle when each step seems to need going over or re-doing or means you have to fix something else!?!? that happens sometimes, but I'm excited to see where you got to - sounds great!

    1. Calamity Jane, yes! Maybe that's what the apron should be named. This should have been a 1 day project if I'd only followed the simply pattern that Christine was kind enough to share. Oh! If only... But no. I decided to get a bit fancy with it and...here we are, almost a full week later and it the dam...errrrr...darned thing still isn't finished. It's very close though. The pockets are pinned in place and waiting to be sewn on. Today is not the day though as there's much that will keep me out of the house. Tomorrow. A full week later. It should be done tomorrow. Ha!
