And the winners are....

Before the winners are announced, I want to take a moment to thank you all for the blogging anniversary wishes, but most of all for the continued interest and support, the comraderie and friendship, the sharing of thoughts, memories, ideas, lives.

As an ex-accountant, the details, the stats appeal to me. 38 names were thrown in the hat...

well...rusty can...it seems appropriate after all. 7 countries were represented. Possibly more as the home country of 2 is still a mystery.

Once my little urchins woke this morning, it was into the studio so they could do the honors. While I thought they might balk at sticking their hand down into a rusty can, they did me proud and didn't hesitate.

Little urchin #1, aka Grace, drew the first winner, Pat of Lost and Found

Little urchin #2, aka Ellie, drew the next 2 names.

Congratulations to Pat, Debbie and Velma!

  2. I love that first image of the rusty, thread-wrapped can - and even the choice of paper color for the names is just perfect.
What fun for the girls to be part of the whole experience - they're adorable...and very good helpers!

  4. What a lovely way to choose the winners, especially to get the little urchins involved. Hope you feel better soon - this horrible virus has made headlines over here. N XX

    1. Our viruses have been on your news? Arg! The urchins had strep last week and one or both have been home since last Tuesday. Yesterday, their first joint day of no fevers, etc. was a snow day. I feel much better this morning and think...so far...that mine is just a cold. Keeping my fingers crossed.

      Thanks for the well wishes!!!

    1. The can will be unwrapped eventually. I've had no studio for the past 2 weeks with the little urchins having strep. They're well now - yipee!!! - and I have a cold so....

  9. Thank you to all for lovely comments about my little urchins! They're growing so quickly. Being a whopping 5 feet tall myself, I figure I've a good 3 or 4 more years to tower over them and keep them in line. Then...well...if they ever learn that they can gang up on me...

  10. Congratulations to the winners! They are very lucky to have your beautiful threads and I am positively envious of them. I didn't find out about the draw until it was too late. The urchins are lo-ve-ly!
