My family has gathered for our annual beach week in North Carolina.
Time is spent watching mermaids who fancy themselves
hunters and gatherers of shells and precious treasures.
The local wildlife is a little shy,
colors are vibrant and
patterns are everywhere -
even X's
and O's.
Tic tac toe anyone?
a lovely beach time. i think there's some toe color, too!
ReplyDeleteBeach time this week. Sandra's workshop next week. Life is definitely good.
DeleteThe edge of the sea ... where heaven reaches down to touch the earth.
ReplyDeleteOur family has gone to the Outer Banks (Avon) for over 30 years ... there is nothing like it.
Love the shells, the crab, and most of all the surfboard art (peace, love and jaws?)
"...where heaven reaches down to touch the earth"
DeleteBeautifully said - and so true. We're at the opposite end of the Outer Banks in Corolla. Have seen porpoises or dolphins, lots of tiny fish in tidal pools and even a sea turtle nest on the dunes, but no shark...thankfully! Couldn't resist the shot of the decorative surf boards.
Looks delicious and delightful J - and then the workshop - heaven on a stick!
ReplyDeleteHa! It is a heavenly 2 weeks.
DeleteLooks like you're having a blast! I'm missing the ocean already...it's been a week since I've seen it. Enjoy the time with your mermaids....and merman!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a great week. Today is our last day and there's still plenty we want to do...but isn't that always the way?
Deletethanks for sharing these fun glimpses of your vacation with us (especially those of us who may be vacationless)... lol
ReplyDeleteHi J - I have loved rolling the bright days you are having. Great photos of the patterns in the water - particularly the o. Go well. B
