Those are my favorites too Fiona. All done with the same brush, but on 3 different papers - #2 mylar, #3 sumi, #4 Rives BFK. The brush is a long whisk-like thingy. Not sure what its real use is, but it's fun to play with!
Thanks Stephanie! Let's see...3rd from bottom was done with a half inch brush. Still going for the stitched look. 2nd from bottom is the same piece of Rives BFK after "stitching" with a thin marker as well as a brush that I'd cut down because of forgetting to wash out. The last is graphite (2 ways) on mylar.
Are you making a few marks too? If so, I'd love to see what you're doing!
Oh Jill...I got a such a chuckle at your comment that you live in a green jungle. My back yard was dubbed "the fortress of green" the first spring we lived here and I experienced numerous panic attacks on the back deck once all the trees had leaves. Suppose that could be one reason my marks are mostly black and white. Enjoy!
I love the many meanderings, but 2,3 & 4 are my faves - what were you using? Best of all it looks like you are enjoying yourself!

ReplyDeleteYes! Took me a long time to learn that though. Still, we're never too old to learn, right? Enjoy!
