I'd like you to meet my friend, Christine Mauersberger.

On her blog, Christine says that while she has watched this wonderful video of herself, she has yet to muster the courage to listen to it. What do you think? Should she listen as well?
Yes! I listened and watched yesterday and was totally inspired!
ReplyDeleteHaving seen some of Christine's work in person (in exhibitions as well as what she was working on at the time in Scotland), I can attest to the power of her simple ubiquitous stitch. Her marks on paper are equally so.
Deleteas my daughter hannah would say, "hell, yes!"
ReplyDeletewell done, christine!
I like what Hannah would say! Brought a smile.
DeleteChristine speaks so very eloquently about her process and what she wants to communicate. Thanks for sharing this video - I am off to her blog now to comment there.
ReplyDeleteYou are a true friend for her, Jennifer.
Thank you Judy. I've often imagined being present for a conversation between you and Christine. Sound odd? Well...it's true. You share an aesthetic that I find calming, centering yet powerful in your approach to stitching and the creation of your art. One day...
DeleteYes!

ReplyDeleteDear Jennifer, you are a treasured friend. To think that we met online and then in person last October and more recently sharing the cottage in Scotland. Thank you for sharing my video and thank you to your readers for responding with positive and supportive words. And I would welcome a chance for you, Judy Martin & I to have a conversation. I adore her work and I cherish you. xo C
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome my dear. I knew those who follow my blog would enjoy getting to meet you and that a special few would feel a kinship. Perhaps a trip to Canada should be on our list of art trips together...add Pam and Kelly and... Oh! What a time that would be!
