Scotland - Tactile Notebooks Day 4 - my morning walk

My mornings in Newburgh began with a stroll

to and along the River Tay, usually near high tide.

Thursday morning

 seemed the fitting time

to give this book of Khadi paper

 a dip in the river

before adding a few rusty bits.

No visit was complete without photographing the red boat.
As I turned to begin the uphill stroll to Big Cat Textiles,

 something caught my eye.

 Mud.

Dried,
cracked,
shrunken,
misshapen.

Reminiscent of eggshells

 or puzzle pieces.

 And I found myself whispering

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses and the King's men,
couldn't put Humpty together again.

 This little one watched on,

bravely, attentively,

as I walked up the hill

just across the street from Big Cat Textiles.

    1. Glad you have you along on the journey Wyn! It was an amazing time. I kept looking around on my strolls or in the studio and wanting to pinch myself to assure that I was awake and not just dreaming.
