Wednesday morning

As usual, I woke before the others in the house

and decided to stroll down to the beach

 to see the sunrise.

Along the way, little things caught my eye.

Patterns emerged. Some man made.

Some not.

Those were the best.

There were birds,

jellyfish,

shells,

tide marks,

stones,

footprints

and feet.

There were waves that caught me unawares
(and soaked my sweats up to my knees!).

And waves that gently caressed the shore.

I even saw a star

and found treasures to bring home.

How has your morning been?

Oh! Tomorrow is Roy G Biv time again. We're up to I = indigo. As indigo is a tricky color, feel free to interpret it as you choose (meaning that if you're like me and forget to search for indigo, blues of any sort are more than welcome). Enjoy!

    1. Aren't shells always a delight to find? There's something so primal and ancient about them.

  2. What beauties you found on your early morning walk! And your treasures are my favourite kind. It sounds like such a wonderful time for the whole family.
Thank you also for your comment about my bundle book - as for it being for sale. I sure it will be, but I have decided to keep my etsy store closed until into the fall.
Keep enjoying the beach and your summer!

    2. Oh good! I'm glad you're joining us in searching for indigo! It's a tricky one, isn't it? I may just have to cull through my photos and re-post a few. Bad of me, I know, but...

I'll try to wait patiently for your etsy store to reopen. Your lovely book keeps whispering to me and drawing me back for yet another look, another conversation.

      Enjoy!

    1. Yes. They certainly are the best. One week always seems a long time upon arrival, but ends up passing all too quickly. One of these years, I want 2 weeks...or a month perhaps. Now wouldn't that be lovely? Enjoy!
