  1. Thanks for the tip! Nice rust too isn't it?

    1. I thought it rusted nicely. It was a "what if" that needed trying. Now...to figure out what to do with it. Isn't that always the dilemma?

    1. Most definitely. A trip to the scrap metal nearby is needed soon, me thinks. A length of rusty pipe...or two or three...as well as some larger washers are on the shopping list.

    1. Thanks for the giggle Cindi! I keep seeing owl eyes around the studio now in all my rusty fabrics...which is much better than last year's rusty boobs. Yes. You read that correctly. Check out this post from last year for the explanation...

  5. J- I thought to myself - as long as it was cotton denim. We gave Noela some fabric that looked like cotton but it just would not take colour - just too much synthetic as are many of the stretch denims - oh I just know so much about fabric - not. Great bit of rusting. B

    1. You sound like a rust expert to me. Oddly enough, all the stretch denim jeans are too dark blue. Can't imagine rust would show well on them so I tried on one of my oldest, most faded and holiest pairs, which were made with 100% cotton. Spritz with a bit of vinegar and it worked just fine.

  6. WOW and it did so very beautifully. I love it! (and I didn't see owl eyes or boobs!) I love love circles!

    1. Thanks for the giggle as well as the kind words. I spritzed another piece of the same jeans with vinegar and left overnight...not a bit of rust appeared. Finicky things...denim and rust. Then again, most likely it was user error.

I discharged a piece of black cotton a couple years ago that produced, quite accidentally, numerous skull heads. It was all in the folding and wrapping. Still, all I see are skull faces...haven't used that piece yet.
