4th Annual Artist Retreat - Wednesday

Wednesday began as usual - coffee with Pam and her husband, chatting while watching the squirrels

and rabbits as they foraged for their breakfast and played in the grasses. Then it was downstairs to the studio where I spent half the day enjoying observing how Pam's what ifs came to life.

Pam has been the epitome of tolerance concerning my camera/photography addiction. Only once has she scowled in my direction and that was yesterday when I started to video her sewing...and she knew it. Those clicks of the camera dial gave me away. The scowl was honored and the camera was switched off video...this time, that is. Shhhh....don't tell Pam.

Finally, it was time for me to set about measuring

and trimming

before starting to machine stitch my own what if.

Many thanks to all for lovely comments regarding my 400th post! The hat is becoming quite filled with names. Good luck in the drawing tomorrow night!

  2. Loving the what ifing... Wondering what Pam is using for a resist (and she can answer me another way if it's a trade secret). It's been a test for me to get back in the studio this week. I'm looking forward to the weekend. How long are you there?

    2. Ugh- Mentioned it to Mark yesterday but he was preoccupied. Was gone most of today and at Star's tomorrow. I'm a sorry case!! Guess I'll have to wait for another retreat. I think I may have to figure this out on my own!!!!

    3. Bummer. As long as your computer is up to date, downloading the newest version of Skype is easy. If you decide to try it on your own, give me a call. Not sure how much help I'll be long distance, but can provide moral support.

    1. We are having a grand time Barry. Each what if spurs another. Yet through it all, we talk and enjoy each other's company most of all...and a good glass of wine is always welcome. Enjoy!

    1. Maggi, usually our work compliments each other - my rusty stuff goes great with Pam's work shown above. This year, well, it was a bit jarring to hang my black, white and red alongside hers. Still, we were both what if-ing together and that's all the fun.
