On the drying board

I've been numbering this season's rusty circles, if only to keep track of how many are produced. Right now, the number also serves as the piece's temporary name. They'll get their real name later.

This little bundle of rust joy

just became #22.

  1. I'm in awe of your rust circles! They are so beautiful. It must be like opening a birthday gift every time you unwrap one.

    1. It is a bit. There's only so much of the process that I know how...or want to know how to control. It's way more fun this way.

    2. I feel the same way about the resists. I love washing them out at the end to see what I have. I can control some aspects but not everything which makes it a lot more interesting.

  2. Are you going to quilt them do you think?
    I love them. Gorgeous.

    1. Judy, I'm really not sure exactly what will become of them, but the vision that I keep seeing in my mind of them displayed is such that light can shine through...at least for with the larger pieces. It's all still in the experimental stage. Suggestions are welcome!
