Greetings from
Newburgh, Scotland! With a free day before Sandra Brownlee's
Tactile Notebooks and the Written Word workshop begins, it seemed a wander around Newburgh was in order. Enjoy!
The
River Tay. The bench is quite comfortable.
If this red boat looks familiar, it could be that you've seen it from a different viewpoint over
here.
Newburgh seems to be the place to be this month, all the best people seem to be there.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your time up there, it does look beautiful.
Newburgh is the place to be. It promises to be a wondrous time.
Deletedreamboat....
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteIt looks entirely enchanting Jennifer - and is doing absolutely nothing to assuage my Scotland-visiting desires from this end! We are beginning to pencil in a trip for next year already! Wishing you a wonderful, fulfilling course and fun times together.
ReplyDeleteNewburgh is enchanting. A little town next to the River Tay with a few shops and grand views of the river and mountains. And then there's the art studio the class is held in. Good friends, good food, art, water, new experiences...and good weather. What more could one want?
DeleteAh JCQ - now you have filled me with envy - Scotland!!!! Love the red boat - you have captured the mood and reflection so well. Enjoy the workshop. B
ReplyDeletei was there last year to Indias workshop and have the luck to come again this year to meet India i have not reach to see so much as you have , so this year i also have time to see the surrounding more , looking forward to do .
ReplyDeleteWill you be taking India's Being (t)there workshop at Big Cat? Oh! How I'd love to take that class...or just visit Newburgh again. If you have time, get out and walk around town. Venture down to the River Tay. And let me know if the red boat is still there. Enjoy!
DeleteWonderful Jennifer - love this red boat story - from start to finish and thanks for the cross links - fantastic spaces you have lead me to!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the story and journey!
DeleteWow - How amazing the links between artists - you and India Flint (whose book I had bought ages ago before I found her online!!) hanging out in the same places!!! Dreams are good!!!
